Bendigo Woollen Mills
We are Australia's largest hand knitting & crafting yarn mail order manufacturer, with a huge variety of different yarns and colours to choose from. We have a customer database of over 300,000 customers and process hundreds of orders daily during peak times. We do 5-6 mailings per year to keep in touch with our customers, letting them know about new yarns and patterns available.
Job tasks and responsibilities
BWM is looking for an exceptional individual to join our small but close-knit team. Duties will include:
- Processing customer orders over the phone, internet/email and order forms.
- Dealing with customer enquiries over the phone, email and letters.
- Customer returns and lost mail.
- Ad hoc duties as required.
This may include, but is not limited to, relief in our factory shop, general office tidying, relief on the dispatch line.
Skills and experience
The successful applicant will have the following attributes:
- Confidence in communicating and dealing with people.
- Excellent phone manner.
- Be passionate about customer service.
- Show enthusiasm and a strong work ethic.
- Computer literate.
- Willingness to learn new skills and grow technical knowledge relating to the product range.
- Able to manage customer service issues to resolution and follow up, ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Strong organisational skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- The ability to work independently and in a small team environment.
- Good work ethic and reliability.
- Retail experience highly regarded.
Knitting and/or crochet knowledge is desirable but not essential.
