Information Management and Technology Services (IMTS) is the University’s central IT provider for core infrastructure and services and is responsible for the development and management of information and communications technology resources in response to research, teaching, and business requirements.
UOW is looking for a Desktop and AV Support Officer to join their Desktop Support Team to provide support services to UOW’s Sydney metropolitan campuses, in Liverpool, Sutherland and Sydney CBD Campus as well as Wollongong when needed.
This position is based at in Liverpool and will include regular travel, which requires the successful candidate to hold a current Australian Drivers Licence and the ability to participate in a shift roster between locations, and outside of business hours.
You will be responsible for providing high level Desktop and AV support services to the UOW community, addressing and supporting client requests to deliver excellent customer service and professional delivery of information technology services.
You will have excellent communication and customer service skills to interact with technical and non- technical staff and students, including the ability to effectively document client issues and resolutions as well as reports, processes and procedures.
Your proven knowledge and experience in supporting Windows and Mac desktops, software and AV equipment will be critical in your ability to quickly diagnose, problem solve and document hardware and software problems.
The ideal candidate will have a degree or tertiary qualifications in an appropriate discipline and/or a combination of experience and education/training, as well as experience in the use of operational and support tools such as Helpdesk incident logging systems and Microsoft SCCM.
