Your new company
Representing one of the largest Indigenous-led renewable energy initiatives in Australia, you will work to develop wind, solar, and renewable energy storage projects.
Your new role
- Execution of project development plans including securing, managing and coordinating internal and external (consultants) resources;
- Track and report on project progress against budget and schedule, highlighting progress against pre-defined gates
- Grow and foster relationships with key project stakeholders including but not limited to relevant personnel within all levels of government & wider community and overlapping land interest holders;
- Work collaboratively with the Communications and Engagement team to manage, coordinate and participate in stakeholder and community engagement activities including organising events; and
- Secure and manage internal resources and specialist consultants as required including technical, engineering, communications, legal, finance.
- Identification of potential planning and environment risk, selecting, engaging and overseeing external consultants and experts to progress studies.
- Participating in the development of a safe and healthy workplace.
- Complying with instructions given for your own safety and health and that of others, in adhering to safe work procedures and legislative obligations.
- Support the technical team in the selection of EPC contractors and where needed participate in EPC negotiation, as well as potential supply agreements with battery OEMs and integrators.
- Identification of grid connection options, engaging with Network Services Providers (NPSs) and external consultants on all aspects relating to the grid connection process, including preparing connection enquires, using consultants conducting early-stage pre-feasibility assessment of connection options.
What you'll need to succeed
- Engineering, renewable energy or other relevant degree (equivalent competency)
- Demonstrated ability to originate projects, develop projects and manage projects with minimal supervision through to shovel ready status, ready for financing
- Experience in development (ideally from front end to late stage) experience
- Wind and batteries experience
- Personal qualities - organised, self-motivated, collaborative, good at prioritising
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; proficiency with the MS Office suite of applications; high level of general computer/online literacy
