About the opportunity  

The Early Years Facilities Officer is a key role that provides efficient and effective operational, administrative, and customer service functions for the Integrated Child and Family Centres and Kindergartens. This role is pivotal in providing high-level customer service to community members and internal teams in a timely, professional, and effective manner. 

You will make an impact by  

• Being the main contact point for enquiries, bookings, and charges for users of Integrated Child & Family Centre’s and Kindergartens in Cardinia Shire. 
• Administering the facility and event booking system, including the administration of accounting processes. 
• Providing accurate and high-quality customer service to internal and external customers, responding to a wide range of customer requests from those seeking to hire (short/long) term spaces. 
• Implementing and administering operational procedures for the hire of Integrated Child & Family Centres and Kindergartens and effectively managing the utilisation of the sites. 
• Administering the financial systems for the operation of the Integrated Child & Family Centres and Kindergartens including fees and charges, utility and overhead charges, purchase orders, invoicing and payments and refunds of bonds and fees. 

What you will bring  

• A deep understanding of local government’s role and place in the community, and how that interconnects with not-for-profit organisations and non-government agencies. 
• Knowledge of the Children’s Services National Law and Regulations is advantageous  
• Experience in a similar role within the community sector, including high-level administration and customer service. 
• Knowledge and experience in facility management processes and systems such as Ungerboeck and finance systems. Your expertise in these areas will be highly valued and advantageous.
