About The Role
The Education Coordinator plays a pivotal role in our education services, working collaboratively with a dedicated curriculum development team to create a nurturing and educational environment for children. The Education Coordinator plays a pivotal and multifaceted role within our education services, contributing significantly to school-aged children's overall well-being and development. This position entails working collaboratively with a passionate and dedicated team to establish an environment that ensures children's safety and fosters their growth, curiosity, and educational progress.
- Actively participate in meetings and discussions with the Curriculum Development Team.
- Share insights and suggestions for curriculum improvement based on observations and feedback from program staff.
- Facilitate open communication channels between program staff and the Curriculum Development Team to ensure alignment and shared goals.
- Regularly solicit feedback from program staff and children regarding the effectiveness of curriculum activities.
- Collaborate with the Curriculum Development Team to analyse this feedback and make necessary adjustments.
- Stay updated on research and trends in early childhood education to inform curriculum development decisions.
- Review the curriculum alongside the Curriculum Development Team to ensure it aligns with the National Quality Standards for OSHC.
- Conduct periodic assessments to identify areas where the curriculum can exceed quality benchmarks.
- Assist in documenting evidence of compliance with quality standards for accreditation purposes.
- Support staff in planning and organizing age-appropriate activities and learning experiences.
- Foster a collaborative environment where program staff can share insights and challenges related to curriculum delivery.
- Act as the Responsible Person.
- Supervise, mentor, and provide leadership to program staff, fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment.
- Prioritise the safety and security of all children in the OSHC program, implementing and maintaining safety protocols, emergency procedures, and risk management strategies.
- Efficiently manage program resources, including materials, supplies, and equipment, to support educational and recreational activities delivery.
About You
- Diploma Primary Teaching, Bachelor of Early Childhood, Diploma or Certificate IV Children’s Services, OSHC, Recreation.
- Desirable to have at least 5 years of leadership experience within an education or teaching setting.
- Experience in promoting inclusivity and diversity within educational settings and the ability to celebrate and respect cultural differences among children.

- Understanding of child protection mandatory reporting requirements.
- Knowledge and understanding of legislation and regulations relevant to OSHC.
