This role is an exciting opportunity to support student in a multidisciplinary team aimed at enhancing student outcomes as Education Officer – Learning and Pedagogy. In this role, you will support schools and work collaboratively to promote system messages, facilitate professional learning, and build capacity for the Learning and teaching in BCE’s P-12 and Secondary schools. You will work face-to-face across a cluster of schools and travel to the schools within your allocated cluster will be required.
Duties- Targeted Support: Provide customised curriculum support to schools within your allocated cluster.
- Professional Learning: Design and lead professional learning sessions and resources for school staff.
- Strategic Advice: Collaborate with school leaders to offer strategic curriculum advice and support to implement key strategic directions that enhance leadership and teaching.
- Review Participation: Engage in curriculum reviews and help implement recommended strategies.
- Collaboration: Work with teams to align curriculum services and maintain effective communication. Work collaboratively to support the implementation.
- Current full registration with Queensland College of Teachers.
- Experience designing and facilitating professional learning workshops and resources with a focus on pedagogical change
- Demonstrated experience leading educational initiatives, building capacity of others and providing curriculum/pedagogy advice within school context.
- Ability to lead, energise, empower teams, and positively influence individuals and the group to commit to a course of action.
- Experience providing advice and support relating to contemporary teaching and learning practices and research.
- Experience working collaboratively in a team environment
