The Microgrid Power team is in search of a skilled Embedded Networks - Retail Energy & EIC Account Manager to join their team. This role is responsible for successfully implementing Solar Microgrids for multi-tenanted energy networks nationwide. The Embedded Networks - Retail Energy & EIC Account Manager focuses on establishing Embedded Networks and selling Retail Energy contracts across Microgrid Power sites. This includes but not limited to solar, battery systems, EV Charging, energy management systems and a range of other products and technologies. Microgrid Power sells Solar Microgrids that deliver new income opportunities for commercial property owners as well as delivering Retail Energy contracts for owners and tenants all provided at zero cost to owners and tenants.

We have an exciting opportunity for a highly responsible individual to expand our presence in the Energy Market through our Embedded Network Retail Energy Division called Microgrid Power. This position involves cold and warm calling existing and new potential clients.
Your primary role will help us manage the process of onboarding the thousands of new customers in this space as we grow our portfolio of shopping centres, strip mall retail, bulky goods, industrial and many other commercial sites as well as signing up customers to our Embedded Networks and Retail Energy contracts.
There is a complex and AER-mandated EIC (Explicit Informed Consent) onboarding process for new retail electricity customer at all sites and your job will be to work with the team to quickly and successfully onboard new customers.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Manage the onboarding process called EIC
- Sell Retail Energy contracts & energy solutions
- Build, manage, and maintain customer contact lists and databases
- Build, maintain and manage the energy Referral Channel
- Support to expansion of the trading platform
- Interface and partner with the internal tele-sales team
- Responsible for understanding, assisting in the necessary handover strategy, procedures, commissioning to support and promote a timely and seamless facility transition from Sales phase to Operations
- Responsible for ensuring that the commercial structure of contracts meets the short and long term commercial objectives of the Business, focusing on maximising revenue opportunities at the lowest optimum price.
- Successful management of the identification of multiple clients and multiple sites suitable for the provision of Solar generation equipment to support and coordinate with grid energy delivery to bring about the Microgrid Power embedded network environment
- Responsible for understanding, assisting in the necessary handover strategy, procedures, commissioning to support and promote a timely and seamless facility transition from Sales phase to Operations
- Resolve conflicts and provide solutions to customers in a timely manner
- Maintain a pipeline status within company CRM, reporting the status of accounts and transactions
- Adhere to all scripting and compliance processes to deliver a compliant and positive customer experience.
- Feedback customer contacts to tele-sales EIC to progress the EIC process
- Develop an understanding of the Australian Energy Regulator (AER) Express Informed Consent (EIC) regulations and process
- Take responsibility for tailoring site specific Express Informed Consent (EIC) documentation preparation and distribution.
- Monitor and manage site specific EIC process and responses to ensure that AER Guidelines are met and projects proceed
- In conjunction with the GM Sales & Communications, support the business’ financial objectives by meeting agreed targets
- Working with the MGP Project Manager and other business advisors to ensure that project delivery schedules coincide with agreed site specific ‘Go Live’ dates to optimise the commercial outcomes of projects.
- Have a thorough understanding of the financial performance of all projects, including the early identification of areas of potential exposure.
- Where necessary, assist in the application and ongoing reporting obligations for network exemptions and retail licenses in a timely fashion and in compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Keep abreast of regulatory changes and advise on implications to the business and preparing risk mitigation strategies
- Assist in the continued development of materials and training for MGP sales activities at all levels in conjunction with Group GM and MGP GM.
- Assist in the continued review of existing sales related systems with Group GM and MGP GM and Executives
- Maintain all internal systems including Pipedrive & other systems implemented from time to time
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in onboarding customers through the Explicit Informed Consent process for Embedded Networks
- Minimum 2-3 years experience is selling retail & C&I energy agreements
- Retail Energy sales or similar function
- An understanding of managing the commercial and operational aspects of solar, PPAs, Embedded Networks, demand control systems, VPPs.
- An understanding of the current challenges faced by the energy industry and MGP target markets.
