What does your daily life look like at Yancoal?
You will provide general Employee Relations guidance, developing negotiation and bargaining strategies / tactics, assisting with disputes, and reviewing and interpreting industrial instruments. You will be expected to develop and implement ER/IR management plans, initiatives, projects, systems, and policies.
Your responsibilities include:
- Reviewing, developing, and interpreting industrial instruments
- Develop strategies / tactics and mandates for Enterprise Agreement negotiations which is in line with business goals.
- Develop group wide strategies for addressing bargaining applications.
- Act as a coach to site HR in EA negotiations; employee disputes, investigations, and other Employee Relations issues
- Develop and implement ER/IR management plans.
- Determine and manage employee terms and conditions including contracts, clauses, notice periods, restraint periods; ensure our employment contracts, policies and procedures are compliant with the legislative requirements of the jurisdictions we operate in.
- Monitor changes in regulatory frameworks to ensure Yancoal' s compliance.
- Establish constructive relationships with key stakeholders.
To be successful in the role you will require the following skills:
Qualifications:
Tertiary qualifications in appropriate field
Skills & Experience:
- Ability to build strong relationships.
- Strong knowledge of Fair Work Act
- Commercial acumen and leadership skills
- Strong verbal and communication skills including the ability to write submissions.
- Hold full Australian valid driver's license.
- Minimum 3 years Employee Relations experience
- Experience dealing with Fair Work
- Experience in negotiating enterprise agreements.
- Experience in Award interpretation
- Experience with workplace investigations
