About the Job
The Event Sales Manager will be responsible for driving Events, Rooms, Food & Beverage and other sales for the hotel. Your role encompasses driving revenue by acquiring high end luxury conference groups, meetings and incentive business through proactive sales. You will bring your extensive industry knowledge, contacts, networks and proven sales experience in a 5 star property. You will build productive relationships and attend a range of industry and corporate events. Flexibility for domestic travel is a requirement of this position.

- Results focused, tenacious and motivated
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in Hotel, MICE or Conference sales.
- Responds to incoming group/catering opportunities for the Hotel with a high calibre of conversion
- Develops creative and effective sales plans and actions and thrives on accountability and making things happen.
- Comfortable working with a team and on your own
- Comfortable in dealing with leading companies, senior executives and professional conference organizers
- Proven sales background, excellent communication skills
