Established in 2020, St Joseph Affordable Homes is an innovative Catholic building and construction social enterprise, its purpose is to improve life and employment outcomes for young Tasmanians. An initiative of the Archdiocese of Hobart, St Joseph Affordable Homes is delivering a training and employment program, including an in-house apprenticeship scheme for young people. The extensive social and affordable housing building programs of CatholicCare Tasmania and Centacare Evolve Housing are the building and construction projects for St Joseph Affordable Homes. We have a pipeline to build over 400 homes in Southern Tasmania in the next two years which will enable us to employ 20 young people, across a range of trades.

An exciting opportunity for an experienced and highly organised professional to support a dynamic fast-paced team within our organisation.
The role of Executive Assistant for St Joseph Affordable Homes (SJAH) and Centacare Evolve Housing (CEH) is responsible for providing comprehensive support to the Chief Executive Officer and Executive General Manager.
In providing this support the position exercises a high degree of communication competence, initiative, discretion and confidentiality.
Objectives & Accountabilities:
Executive Support- Oversee the practicalities of day-day office management
- Diary management and meeting coordination
- Event coordination
- Manage all mail correspondence received in the Senior Executive Team, ensuring that appropriate action is taken as required
- Prepare and collate correspondence and/or reports
- Prepare, write, edit, compile and distribute papers for a range of Boards, Sub-Committees, and internal group meetings as required
- Assist Chair Person’s and Executive with preparation of relevant papers
- Take minutes for Boards, and all associated committees, and other internal meetings as required, this may include meetings which are outside of normal business hours
- Liaise with Chair Person’s in relation to meetings, minutes, travel, actions, agenda, and other requirements
- Use a range of computer software or systems to produce a variety of documents, reports and correspondence
- Contribute to quality improvement processes
