Experienced Head Chef

Chechos Penrith is looking for an exceptionally talented Head Chef:-

We are searching for someone dynamic, with a genuine passion for food and a love for cultivating unique flavours to join, inspire and lead our tremendously talented kitchen team. 

Successful applicants will be expected to have a can-do, solutions based attitude. Be able to demonstrate past proficiency in a similar role. You will need to show a willingness to collaborate and inspire your fellow co-workers. And you must possess exceptional organisation and kitchen management skills, an ability pivot… adapt and manage a fast-passed kitchen… All while delivering beautifully crafted, consistently mouth-watering dishes.

Requirements -

• Someone who can collaborate, inspire others 
• Demonstrated proficiency in a similar role (Salary will be based on experience and attitude)
• Excellent record of kitchen management (work to budgets/KPI's
• Efficient ordering/stock control/managing rosters & prep days)
• Creating menus and determining prices that deliver profitability
• Ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently
• Passionate about food and constantly seeking inspiration to innovate and create unique dishes
• Excited to lift and enhance peoples dining experience
• An exceptional work ethic and attitude
• Fantastic communication skills (both verbal and an ability to listen)
• Ability to follow direction from management and work well within a team environment
• Enthusiasm to develop your own skills and keep abreast of industry trends
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Intuitive in problem-solving, time management in day-to-day operations
• Clean, presentable, reliable, and able to run your own section while managing the entire kitchen team and pass under pressure

Hours: Rotating roster 40 per week (Wednesday to Sunday)

Open to public for service for dinner Wednesday to Sunday / for lunch Saturday/Sunday only.

Salary will depend on level of experience and can range from $80,000.00 – $100,000.00 per year plus super for the right candidate

• Kitchen: 3-5yrs in similar role (Required)
