Join our dynamic team as a Facilities Supervisor and take charge of maintaining the excellence of our venues. You will oversee all aspects of repairs, maintenance, and operation of the buildings, ensuring the facilities are not only functional but exceed expectations. This permanent, full time role will involve managing compliance and certification standards while also allocating trade resources for scheduled and reactive maintenance.
DAY TO DAY, THE ROLE WILL:
- Be responsible for ongoing coordination of planned & reactive maintenance schedules for the buildings and facilities at allocated venues. This includes mechanical, electrical, fire & hydraulic systems and all building fabric.
- Coordinate contractors to deliver scheduled and reactive maintenance tasks. Manage the working relationship with contractors to achieve high quality work standards while achieving cost effectiveness.
- Actively support and contribute to risk management processes adopted by the ATC to identity, analyse and evaluate risks that may impact on the safety of individuals and horses on ATC properties.
- Provide leadership and to ensure that the work and objectives of the Facilities team align with the ATC strategic and capital management plans
- Monitor and manage the Building Management Systems daily, respond to plant alarms and plant abnormalities, set appropriate alarm responses, and take corrective action when necessary
- Lead by example by role modelling a commitment to Safety across the organisation and ensure all property and facilities activities comply with relevant legislation and ethical standards
To be successful in the role, the right fit will possess:
- A Current Class C Driver’s license (minimum requirement)
- A WorkCover Accredited Certificate (White Card)
- Trade Qualification and/or Licence (Electrical preferred)
- Experience in delivery of Facilities Management services including managing documentation requirements, negotiating, and managing contractors
- Multi- disciplined knowledge and understanding of acceptable levels of workmanship
- Knowledge and understanding of Work Health & Safety regulations and sound knowledge of safe work practices and accident prevention
- Experience and understanding of energy management principals, energy monitoring and assessing plant operational priorities
- Experience in managing and motivating staff to achieve outcomes within deadlines
- Proven ability to manage operate, modify, and tune plant control/BMS systems
- High level of written and oral communication skills
- Strong understanding of WHS procedures, hazard reduction and risk management strategies
- Experience in scheduling and coordinating maintenance activities, plant shutdowns and outages, negotiate conditions for planned outages to minimise business interruptions
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise, plan and execute multiple tasks
