Field Safety Advisor - Oil And Gas Well Servicing

Due to successfully obtaining multiple new contracts we have the exciting opportunity for a vibrant and ambitious, full time Field Safety Advisor to join the Wild Desert team working an even time roster. The position provides guidance and support with regard to all health, safety and environmental related requirements across the business. Reporting to the HSEQ Manager, we require a great team player with the drive to succeed and complete all necessary tasks.

This position will be a FIFO role based in Moomba, flying from Toowoomba and Roma. This role will focus on servicing our Cooper Basin rigs, camps, trades and transport teams with opportunities to work in the Surat Basin as well. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive and influence the implementation of best practice HSEQ processes and compliance across operations
• Ensure compliance with Wild Desert's policies, plans and procedures
• Assist with the maintenance of the company's Integrated Management System
• Assist with HSEQ audit and reporting obligations
• Participate and/or facilitate and report on incident investigations
• Hazard identification, risk assessment and control analysis
• Identify HSE non-compliance issues and address these efficiently and effectively

Key Attributes

• Well-developed written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on consultation, negotiation and assertiveness.
• Practical ability to effectively facilitate small workshops and deliver training and inductions programs.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in workplace health and safety desired but not essential
• Incident investigation and analysis training desired but not essential
• Current unencumbered "C" class open manual drivers licence
• National police clearance and traffic history check will be required
