Finance Manager

An exciting opportunity for a Finance Manager has arisen with a progressive & forward thinking refurbishment & fit out construction company. Working in a project driven environment you will play an integral part in the finance division. This position reports into the Director. 

Duties & Responsibilities: 

• Compile month-end balance sheet reconciliations and financial
  reports for review and discussion at board meetings
• Updating budgets and forecasts as required
• Complete reviews of ongoing bank, AP & AR reconciliations
  prepared by offshore resources
• Maintain and develop the financial systems and internal controls
• Cash flow and payment management
• Ensure all expenditure is authorized by properly delegated
  personnel and no staff exceed their personal level of delegated
  authority
• Co-ordinate and assist in the project budget setting process and
  management of actual costs and reports.
• Treasury management including bank guarantee/cheque issue
  and collection
• Prepare reports for monthly board meetings and
  attend if requested
• Maintaining up to date employee records and financial
  information
• Client invoicing and debt collection
• Attend and contribute to project specific cost reporting
  sessions
• Work with FMA and management on any finance specific projects
• Mentor & support offshore bookkeeping team

To be considered for the role you must have: 

• +3 years experience in a similar role 
• CA / CPA qualified (preferred)
• Competent / experience using Procore / Xero 
• Experience in cash flow management 
• Excellent verbal & written communication skills 
• High attention to detail
• Applicants with experience working in construction is highly regarded
