Finance Officer

Whereabout Supply is a wholesale supplier specializing in Cleaning and Hygiene supplies. From our Morningside warehouse we supply Cleaning, Washroom and Hygiene Supplies to many different industries.

We are currently seeking an experienced Finance Officer to join our great team on a permanent full-time basis.  This position offers plenty of variety. You will be able to work both autonomously while also being part of our overall team. 

Reporting to the Managing Director, your duties will include:

• End-to-end Accounts Receivable (including contact with customers, collections, reviewing new and existing customer payment terms)
• End-to-end Accounts Payable (including contact with suppliers)
• Payments, receipting and Bank Reconciliations (daily)
• Payroll (weekly)
• Assistance with : Stock control, General Ledger, and BAS

The successful candidate will have good verbal and written communication skills, be passionate about attention to detail, and be able to complete tasks within time frames. You’ll be a great team player with a hands-on focus, and can work autonomously.  You understand the need to maintain “real time” financial records.

As the successful applicant, you will require the following:

• Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role
• Strong organisational and administrative skills, proficient data entry skills, a capacity to work in a busy environment and meet deadlines, and an ability to maintain systems and processes
• Intermediate Excel skills
• Experience with Arrow/Tencia desirable
• Experience in a wholesale supply business desirable, but not necessary
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• High level attention to detail, accuracy and ability to meet deadlines
