The Opportunity

We are currently looking for a confident and detail-oriented full-time Finance Officer to join our friendly team at our Bowen Hills office. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in our company's success by ensuring efficient administration and seamless customer service within our growing Body Corporate company.

The Duties

As a key member of our Finance Department, your primary responsibilities will revolve around crucial finance related tasks that drive the smooth functioning of our operations. Your duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Prepare financial reports and budgets for bodies corporate annual general meetings 
  • Enter journals entries for accrual and prepaid expenses 
  • Reconcile end of year transactions for budget preparation 
  • Issue levy and water bills to owners 
  • Assist finance manager with payroll for selected bodies corporate 
  • Handle and respond to clients' enquiries promptly and professionally via email and phone 
  • Assist finance team when required 

The Ideal Candidate

To thrive in this  role, you will need to possess the following qualities and skills:

  • Diploma or above qualification in accounting or business field 
  • Demonstrate 3-4 years of experience in an accounts-related role, with prior exposure to StrataMax software being highly desirable
  • Showcase intermediate to advanced knowledge and skills in Microsoft Excel
  • Exhibit exceptional customer service skills, fostering positive interactions with clients and team members alike
  • Exhibit great communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with clients and colleagues
  • Pay meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and precision in all tasks
  • Showcase excellent time management and organisational skills, allowing you to manage multiple priorities effortlessly
  • Demonstrate initiative and a proven ability to work autonomously, taking ownership of your responsibilities
  • Possess a positive attitude and excellent problem-solving abilities, enabling you to handle various administrative challenges with ease
  • Conduct yourself in a respectful and professional manner, both in communication and behaviour
  • Be highly motivated and possess a cheerful, warm, and friendly disposition, fostering a positive work environment
