ABOUT THE ROLEThis position is accountable for the provision of high-quality financial services and support to the Institute, specifically customer focused
Accounts Payable (AP) and receivable (AR) services (including international student payments and refunds).This role is responsible for ensuring that the Institute's invoices and payments are processed efficiently in compliance with relevant Institute processes, policies and procedures. The position is also responsible for raising invoices, receipting payments, debt recovery and month end reconciliation and reporting.The incumbent is a key and active participant of the Financial Services business area and provides critical support in relation to
Accounts Payable and receivable for the Financial Services team.Your key accountabilities will be to:
- Perform the day-to-day processing of Accounts Payable transactions to ensure that Institute finances are maintained in an effective, up to date and accurate manner, including reviewing invoices and payments, matching invoices to purchase orders, reconciling creditor statements, resolving discrepancies and international payments.
- Undertaking high quality financial services for stakeholders, including raising invoices, receipting payments, debt recovery, month end reconciliation and reporting.
- Working with Financial Accountant to ensure that processes, policies and procedures relating to the Accounts Payable and receivable functions are continually developed or maintained to ensure continuous improvement.
- Provide advice, interpretation and training as required on Accounts Receivable to the business area and other staff.
ABOUT YOUYou will have completed a diploma level qualification in Accounting or a related discipline with relevant work experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education and training.The following skills and experience are essential:
