The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced internal Finance Officer for this part time role, min 25 hours per week. Reporting to the Finance Manager this role is part of our corporate services team. The successful candidate will find there is plenty of challenge in this role with multiple entities and inter-related transactions.
This role is responsible for:
- Timely management of daily financial activities relating to internal financial functions of the firm, including bank reconciliation.
- Preparation of data for financial reporting purposes.
- Monitoring and responding to internal and external accounts queries.
- Maintaining accurate and organised records.
About you
The successful candidate will possess the following:
- Qualifications – Certificate IV in Bookkeeping (preferred)
- Minimum three to five years’ previous experience in a similar role
- Knowledge in managing multiple interrelated entities
- Software skills with MYOB AE and MYOB ARL (desirable)
- Previous experience in the financial or legal sector (desirable).
- Demonstrated experience with regards to attention to detail and accuracy with figures, grammar and writing.
- Demonstrated ability to work well in a small & large team environment.
- Demonstrated ability and sound knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, in particular Excel, Word and Outlook.
