We have an opportunity for a part-time Finance Officer to join our Finance team. In this role you will undertake revenue activities for the water and sewer function of Council, and assist the Finance Officer Revenue, in the operation of and continued improvement of Council's revenue and property information systems.
In this role you will undertake duties such as:
- Carry out the monitoring, maintenance and review of the MiWater operating system,
- Ensure all data is accurately maintained in Council’s water billing module,
- Process Council’s Water and Trade Waste Billing, Section 603 certificates and Special Water Meter Readings,
- Assist the Revenue Officer in Debt Collection, and
- Attend to rating and water enquiries from stakeholders.
- Completion of Year 12 High School Certificate or relevant higher-level qualifications.
- Demonstrated experience in an office environment within the areas of Finance, administration, and customer service.
- Knowledge and understanding of NSW Local Government Act and Regulations Rates and Charges provisions and NSW State Government Best Practice Water and Sewer Pricing.
- Demonstrated history of showing initiative in solving problems, improving methods and productivity and ability to seek guidance where required.
- Good oral and written communication skills with an ability to communicate in a courteous and effective manner.

The appointment will be in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award and Council’s policies and conditions of employment. The salary will be within the range of $33.29 to $36.75 per hour depending on qualifications, experience and skills.
