This is a brilliant newly created opportunity for a Financial Accountant to join one of Australia’s fastest growing PE backed healthcare services organisation.

With recent backing by a renowned PE firm, significant growth is expected in the next 3 years. They have embarked on a program to recruit the best finance talent in Sydney, and this Financial Accountant role will be pivotal to the future growth of the organisation.
The Challenge
Reporting to the Group Financial Controller your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Take responsibility for the routine taxation requirements for group and subsidiary companies.
- Calculation and lodgement of monthly BAS’s and payroll tax returns.
- Compilation and drafting of annual FBT and income tax return requirements for lodgement through external tax agents.
- Intercompany accounting arrangements and reconciliations.
- Treasury accounting such as preparation and monitoring of cash flow reporting.
- Oversight of bank reconciliations
- Assist with technical accounting matters including lease accounting.
- Providing hands on support for the effective day-to-day finance operations of the group.
- Take a leadership role in motivating and mentoring the growing finance team.
- Work closely with our Group Financial Controller and Group Chief Financial Officer to shape the direction and future of the finance function
Please consider expressing interest in this position if you possess the following:
- Preferably, you are a part-qualified/fully qualified CA with 3 – 5 years’ experience currently working in the business services, tax or audit division of one of the leading chartered accounting firms. Ideally, you have had exposure to healthcare services clients or clients operating in a multi-site environment.
- Possibly, you are a CA/CPA with a minimum of 3 years’ experience working within a comparable industry, ideally healthcare or aged care
- Financial sophistication with a proven ability to influence stakeholders
