Reporting to the Finance Leader, you will work alongside a small and supportive team and have an opportunity to develop skills and experience in all areas of the finance and commercial function.
The Financial Accountant position is a Full-Time ongoing role within our Finance Team based in Port Melbourne.
- Support Accounts Payable and payroll function
- Assist with financial accounting processes
- Bank reconciliations, reporting and liaising with banks
- Ensure month end processes have been completed accurately and timely, and that the financial results are representative of operational activities
- Provide monthly analysis and drafting of performance reports (financial and non-financial)
- Attend and contribute to Business Group operational team meetings
- Increase the commercial capabilities of Business Group staff
- Provide backup to other Finance team responsibilities
- Relevant Tertiary qualifications in Finance/ Accounting or related areas
- Professional accounting qualification (CA/CPA) or working towards this
- 3+ years’ relevant experience within a finance team
- Previous Project Accounting experience would be beneficial
- Experience working with Financial Force (Salesforce) highly desirable
- Good modelling (Excel) and presentation (PowerBI, Powerpoint) highly desirable
- Can do attitude, good work ethic, quick turnarounds, collaborative. Accountable for accuracy and meeting deadlines.
