About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled, experienced and detail-oriented Financial Controller to join our in-house finance team. As our Financial Controller, you will oversee our financial activities ensuring accuracy, compliance and efficiency in our financial operations. You will also be the point of contact for banks, auditors, and tax authorities. This position requires a strategic thinker with excellent analytical skills and a strong understanding of financial principles.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and treasury functions.
- Manage all aspects of financial accounting, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Develop, review and maintain financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Analyse financial data to provide insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making by senior management.
- Monitor and review financial performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Conduct financial analysis to support strategic planning initiatives, including investment decisions, pricing strategies, and business expansion opportunities. Evaluate financial performance against key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide actionable insights to drive performance improvement.
- Coordinate and liaise with external auditors, tax authorities, and other relevant stakeholders.
Requirements/Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
- Professional certification (CPA/CA preferred).
- Experienced and competent in financial reporting and management.
- Strong knowledge of tax compliance.
- Experience in accounting and administration.
- Proficiency in the application of accounting processes, procedures and use of accounting and ERP software.
- Advanced use of cloud-based software applications including Xero and MS Excel.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial analysis techniques, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
