About your new team
Redevelopment is underway! Palm Beach Aquatic Centre is being transformed into a vibrant and contemporary destination for the southern Gold Coast. The revitalised aquatic and new community centre will service the community for the next 50 years. Injecting fresh life into the precinct, the aquatic centre will host four pools including indoor warm water pools, water play area, a modern fitness centre and a new and improved creche. The inclusion of a contemporary community centre will support a diverse range of activities and services with multipurpose hall, meeting rooms, flexible spaces and a dance studio.
There’s still a lot to do before we open the doors and that’s where you come in.
About your new role
The Fitness Team Leader at Palm Beach Aquatic & Community Centre is responsible for the leadership and delivery of innovative health and fitness programs, based on quality member services and interactions both directly and through leading a team of Fitness professionals. The position focuses on achieving and maintaining high retention levels of health and fitness members, as well as assisting and supporting the customer service team to attract new members.
What you bring to your new role
- Demonstrated experience leading and developing team members to deliver high quality fitness programs.
- Two to three years working in the fitness industry with experience promoting and driving membership growth through sales and marketing initiatives.
- Pride in your work and dedication to making a positive contribution to your community.
- High level interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport and liaise with people at all levels.
- Previous frontline management experience dealing directly with public.
- Proven experience in promoting and adhering to all relevant legislation, regulations, agreements, standards, policies, and processes.
