About the business

Rydges World Square is currently seeking a Front Office Manager to join our team. 

You will be joining this stylish hotel, offering 460 unique, modern rooms, perfectly located amid the inner-city buzz. If you like to be busy and work amongst upbeat and ambitious colleagues, then this is the job for you.

About the role

The Front Office Manager will lead the Front Office and Concierge team as well as maintain the highest guest service standard consistently. They will ensure the safety, security and smooth running of ALL other hotel operations in the absence of senior Management.  

Tasks & responsibilities 

Some of your responsibilities will be:

  • Recruit, train, manage and provide leadership to the team
  • Manage guest experiences for the best possible outcomes
  • Staff roster management
  • Work alongside the team to ensure best outcomes for the department and communicate regularly with Executive Assistant Manager as well as General Manager
  • Ensure our guests have the best possible experience - manage guest/review feedback
  • Ensure the safety and security of our guests and team
  • Liaise with other hotel departments to ensure exceptional guest experiences
  • Maintain a high level of cleanliness and presentation, keeping all work areas both front of house and back of house clean and in working order

 The Successful Candidate must have

  • The ability to work a variety of shifts and flexibility with hours
  • Previous Front Office management experience
  • Prior experience with the airline market is preferred.  
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, including written and spoken English
  • Experience working in a fast paced, high pressure environment whilst leading a team in a friendly and comfortable atmosphere
  • Experience using Opera
  • Clear understanding of revenue and yield strategies
  • Online reputation management experience, preferrably TrustYou
  • Experience with weekly roster management
