Manly Harbour Boat Club has undergone a multi-million-dollar refurbishment and requires experienced and inspirational Function Coordinator.
Based at Manly Harbour, overlooking Moreton Bay. Manly Harbour Boat Club is a multi-outlet Hospitality Venue with a 300 seat Bistro, Rooftop Tapas Bar, Functions and Events area which.
We are seeking a full-time Function Coordinator to assist with the day-to-day coordination of all functions booked with the club. With flexibility to work late evenings and weekends, you will provide excellent customer service and organisational skills to function client and assist in building our function team. You will report to the Functions & Events Manager.
Key responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Acts as the first contact for all function related services as directed by Functions & Events Manager.
- Works closely with clients in the pre-event stage to determine and collect important details.
- Assist the Function & Events Manager with key events and promotional plans.
- Use systems such as: iVvy to record all function information as well as invoicing needs.
- Assist with all inbound function enquires.
- Direct the function team to plan and execute events per client and business’s needs.
- Assist and manage with set-up, running and pack down of events.
- Support other areas of the business when needed; including but not limited to the restaurant, bar, and kitchen.
- Understand all relevant standard operating procedures for function supervisors, bartending and wait staff.
- Communicate and present professionally inside and outside the organisation.
- Create a welcoming atmosphere in the function areas by ensuring standards are upheld.
To be successful in this role you should demonstrate:
- Two-years’ experience in a similar role.
- Attention to detail.
- Knowledge in how to use event cloud software IVvy is desirable.
- Possess excellent writing, proofreading and verbal communication skills.
- Must be extremely organised, efficient and detail oriented.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet required deadlines.
- A passion for providing great service.
- A professional attitude and strong work ethic.
- Ability to perform in a team and autonomously.
- Available to work weekends, public holidays, and some late evenings.
- Experience in high volume and fast paced outlets.
