Club Helensvale, located on the northern end of the Gold Coast in one of Australia’s fastest growing areas, has just completed stage two of a $30 million dollar, four stage renovation that will create Queensland’s largest and most modern Lawn Bowls complex. With 20,000 social members and 500 bowling members, Club Helensvale is looking for a Marketing Assistant to round out their marketing team.
Recent renovations include a dedicated $13 million state-of-the-art bowlers’ complex equipped with a covered green and function centre, with another green to be covered this year. Club Helensvale has also acquired Club Robina, a boutique community club with 200 bowling members and 3 greens.
Your experience managing functions and events will be utilised as you manage the Club’s functions from beginning to end, liaising with clients and suppliers. In this hands-on role you will oversee and assist with the setup, pack down and the execution of the functions/events, while leading and supervising the functions team.
Your skills and experience:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in similar role
- Outgoing and friendly personality
- Flexibility in hours with some work required over evenings, weekends and public holidays.
- Strong administration, computer and organisational skills
- Costing function packages and managing budgets
- Ordering all supplies, rostering staff and working alongside the Head Chef
- Responding to enquiries efficiently and effectively to boost sales and brand name
- Developing and maintaining relationships with customers, suppliers and staff
