Southport Yacht Club is a diverse company, with four venues across the Gold Coast, with this role is based at our Main Beach clubhouse.
Functions department caters to everything from business, and committee meetings through to weddings, birthdays, special events to gala balls, ensuring we cater to everyone's needs!
Functions Coordinator to liaise with the Customers to lock in their options, design or theming needs, and all other requirements to make their function everything they imagine, and more. Working closely with the Functions Sales and F&B Teams to ensure smooth communications, and well run events for both the Client and the Club.
The Role & What We Are Looking For:
- Experience in a similar role (or ready to step up to the next level)
- Micropower, or similar Functions software, essential
- Product knowledge, vibrant personality, intermediate computer skills are a must.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with a fun, bubbly “can do” personality
- Financial management of functions (ensure financials weekly and monthly reporting is completed to ensure all functions are being finalised)
- Communicate all events, and functions to Managers, Functions Supervisor and Chefs clearly by providing map set ups, ensuring final sign off has occurred
- Preparation and publishing of weekly function & inhouse / boating events and distribution to Head Chef, Managers and Reception, liaise with Chef regularly
- Organise and assist with any in-house Club special events
- Reports to the Operations Manager, and works closely with the Management Team
