Darling & Co Paddington is experiencing a phenomenal growth in functions, weddings & Events. We currently have an amazing opportunity for a full-time Functions & Events Manager to join us at this exciting time.
Based in the heart of Paddington, Darling & Co has three private function spaces in addition to the restaurant and bar with the ability to host events for up to 700 people.
The role of Functions & Events Manager comprises of managing and coordinating all of the functions and events for Darling & Co including corporate meetings & Events, celebrations, weddings, high teas and so much more!
Supported by a fantastic sales and management team as well as great front and back of house staff, this role is for an experienced and passionate functions and hospitality professional focused on delivering clients exceptional events, every time!
Duties include:
- Event management from handover of confirmed sales through to delivery of the event (weddings, corporate, celebrations, high teas and more)
- Daily use of Ivvy functions management software to manage bookings and generate support documents
- Plan and coordinate events, liaising with clients and suppliers
- Overseeing and assisting event set ups and working with the operations team to deliver the event.
- Administration & office support – General ad hoc duties
To be considered for this role:
- Qualification in Events and/or a minimum 2 years of relevant work experience
- Experience in event & hospitality management
- Experience in Ivvy, Sevenrooms and H&L or equivalent software desirable
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment – this is a very busy venue with a high volume of events
