They are looking for a Graduate Accountant to join their team and bring an inquisitive mindset and a can-do attitude.
Description
Reporting to the Finance Manager, your duties will include but not be limited to:
- Banking is completed each day and reconciled to ensure cash levels are accurate
- Accounts payable invoices are approved and then coded correctly so that management reports reflect true expenses
- Send account statements and reminders to customers, actively manage overdue accounts and provide debtor report to Finance Manager on a weekly basis
- Manage corporate card receipts and reconcile accounts via Concur system
- Assist the Accountant in preparing information for annual compliance work and associated audit
- Assist the Accountant in preparing information required for tax compliance such as BAS, income, FBT, and transfer pricing
- Assist in the preparation and upload of monthly management accounts, and quarterly consolidated information for the Group finance team
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and weekly sales reports to inform the business on current performance
- Other ad hoc and customer related tasks
Profile
To be successful in this position you will possess the following attributes:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Commerce, or equivalent
- Previous experience working in the hospitality industry is desired
- Experience working in a similar role will be advantageous but not required
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport
- A collaborative and flexible style, and willingness to learn
