Commencing as soon as possible, St Peters Lutheran College is seeking to appoint a Group Finance Accountant on a full-time basis at our Indooroopilly School.

The successful candidate will use their accomplished technical expertise and refined communication and people skills to provide the College with financial and accounting services. Under the broad direction of the Director, Finance and Business Services, this role includes responsibility for coordinating the daily operations of the Finance Function and team and maintain the accounting records for St Peters Lutheran College, St Peters Lutheran College Springfield and Future Foundation.
About you:
- Bachelor of Accounting, with five (5) years’ experience or a combination of equivalent qualifications and/or experience. CPA or CA and experience in working in a school or education environment is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated management of a Finance function and ability to lead others, possessing contemporary knowledge of accounting standards and practice.
- Demonstrated well-developed skills in research, evaluation and interpretation of data to inform robust decision making.
- Experience in leading and executing service improvement projects and the exploitation of technologies relevant to the goals of the workgroup.
- Highly developed written and oral communication skills with experience in working with diverse stakeholders both within and external to an organisation.
- Demonstrated high level of interpersonal skills such as personal drive, executive presence, integrity, time management and ability to prioritise and work effectively in a high-volume environment.
