Hr & Compliance Officer

In this challenging and rewarding role, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining a safe and compliant workplace while fostering a positive and engaged workforce. Your responsibilities will include:

Human Resources:

• Recruitment and onboarding of new team members
• Payroll and benefits administration
• Performance management and employee relations

Safety & Compliance:

• Conducting risk assessments and implementing risk management controls
• Developing and delivering safety training programs
• Incident investigation and reporting
• Ensuring compliance with all relevant workplace safety regulations
• Liaising with regulatory bodies and external safety consultants

The Ideal Candidate:

• You are a highly motivated and organized individual with a passion for HR and safety.
• You possess a minimum of 2-3 years' experience in a similar role, ideally within the meat processing industry.
• You have a strong understanding of Australian workplace safety legislation and regulations.
• First aid training experience.
• You are a confident communicator and negotiator with excellent interpersonal skills.
• You are a resourceful problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• You are proficient in MS Office Suite and relevant HR and safety software.
• A relevant tertiary qualification in HR or Safety is desirable.
