SPX Aids to Navigation is a technology leader in the design and manufacture of marine and aviation aids to navigation (AtoN) equipment including Marine Lighting, Navigation Buoys, Marine Floats, Port Entry Lighting systems, Airfield Ground Lighting and Obstruction lighting solutions.
We're seeking a skilled individual to fill the role of HSE Coordinator. This position offers a distinctive blend of responsibilities, combining management of health, safety, and environmental in our manufacturing facility.

Tasks and responsibilities
- Maintain our Health, Safety and Environment Systems, policies, and processes with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Conduct inspections and risk assessments ensuring safety standards are met and being enforced.
- Lead our Health & Safety committee.
- Maintain appropriate Health, Safety and Environment and Workplace Health and Safety registers and documentation.
- Inform/communicate employees about our safety policies and processes.
- Continue to drive our safety-first culture in all levels of the business.
- Partner with the business and provide support, recommendations and appropriate solutions for all Health, Safety and Environment matters.
Skills and experience

- Appropriate qualifications in WHS
- 2+ years' experience operating a sound Workplace Health and Safety System - ideally in a manufacturing environment.
- Skills to compile documentation and reports.
- Sound knowledge of and demonstrated ability to advise and apply statutory obligations in respect to WHS legislation.
- Return to Work (RTW) qualification.
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative, exercise judgement and work harmoniously and cooperatively with others.
