Excellent opportunity for an experienced and astute HR Manager in a South Coast lifestyle destination.
You will help the Shoalhaven Ex Services Group optimise everyday processes such as recruitment, Award / EA / WR legislative interpretation, wage and roster costing efficiencies, employment contracts, compensation, onboarding, role performance clarity, performance coaching, training needs analysis, training and evaluation, talent development, off boarding, WH&S risk management and HR policy development & management.
The goals are to –
1. Maximise the value of our People & Culture endeavours that will help Shoalhaven Ex Services Group across all Business Units achieve their agreed results, and
2. Provide consistency of HR technical advice to Managers and consequent compliance with HR policy across our Business Units.
Duties and responsibilities
Your responsibilities include -
- Equip and support the BU Mangers in all HR processes - recruiting, onboarding, employment contract management, compensation, role clarity, performance management and coaching, training needs analysis, training (online and face-to-face), talent development, performance counselling, off boarding, risk management, HR policy management and measurement of HR, in order to achieve their People & Culture outcomes
- Formulate practical HR plans to address People & Culture outcomes within Business Units
- Drive change and culture management across all Business Units through informing and equipping Managers
- Maximise the utilisation of Employment Hero technology
- Help establish control systems for compliance with business methods and HR practices
- Refurbish knowledge of advancements in the fields of HR and Hospitality and present new ideas
- Develop reward and recognition programs linked to culture, customer service and values outcomes
Requirements and skills
- Proven experience as a HR practitioner, particularly in the Hospitality Sector
- In-depth knowledge of modern HR principles, methods and best practices
- Computer savvy with working knowledge of Human Resource IT (eg. Employment Hero, Payroll, Microsoft Suite, etc.)
- Ability to formulate business plans
- Excellent communication and consulting skills
- BSc/BA in Human Resources, business administration or relevant field; MSc/MA in Human Resources will be a plus
