About The Role:
As a Human Resourcesand Learning & Development Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the workforce. Reporting directly to the General Manager of People and Culture, you will have the unique opportunity to be groomed for succession in the next 3-5 years as they plan for their potential retirement.
This is a chance not just to grow but to evolve into a key leadership role within their organisation.
Your role will be approximately 60% focused on Learning & Development (L&D) and 40% on Human Resources (HR) tasks. This includes developing and implementing learning strategies and programs, enhancing the team's skills, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and frameworks. You will also assist in various HR functions, ensuring the company not only grows in strength but also in capability and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver employee training programs (including workshops, individual training sessions, and e-learning courses) that align with the organisation's strategic goals.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and learner performance to ensure a high return on investment for our L&D initiatives.
- Assist in the development and implementation of HR strategies that support business objectives.
- Manage HR tasks including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and compliance with employment laws and regulations.
- Work closely with the General Manager of People and Culture to prepare for a smooth transition and succession planning.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience in Learning and Development, with a solid understanding of HR functions and best practices.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire employees at all levels within the organisation.
- A strategic thinker with the ability to see the big picture and plan for long-term growth and development.
- Knowledge of compliance and regulatory frameworks relevant to HR and training.
- A bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Education, or related field is preferred.
