The Role
As a Intermediate Business Services Accountant, you will work alongside a Partner and Senior Accountant with the delivery of tax and compliance services to the client portfolio. Your core duties will include -
Duties:
- Work on assignments for clients including accounts preparation, annual returns, BAS preparation, trusts/companies
- Assistant with taxation services including researching and supporting your manager to conclude tax issues, verifying financial results and analyse income and expenditure, prepare & check tax returns and gather and manage FBT system (information gathering, completion and calculation procedures)
- Prepare individual, company, trust, partnership tax returns and financial statements
- Maintain and produce financial reports using Xero & MYOB
- Working with the Partner on Business Advisory matters
- Degree qualified within Accounting, Commerce or Business
- Knowledge of taxation structures, Division 7a, CGT, small business concessions & superannuation
- Previous experience working within a public practice
- Intermediate - Advanced Xero, MYOB and Excel skills
- Work in the Coolangatta or Southport office
