Seeking a Junior System Analyst to join a small software team in a well-known Federal Government Department.
Your new company
You will be working with a large Federal Government Department, whose mission and purpose is to protect Australia's security, prosperity and national interests. Your new Department works to achieve its mission and purpose through the promotion of regional and global security and stability.
Your new role
As a Junior System Administrator you will be working within a specialist software team within the Department, charged with sustaining and developing the systems on the system framework. The specialist system is an n-tier, web-based application, built on the Microsoft technology stack, using agile software development methods to deliver three major enhancement releases each year.
The scope of this role includes, but is not limited to:
- Supporting team objectives like face-to-face training, eLearning Design & development, presentations and demonstrations.
- Ability to demonstrate an understanding of the ICT software development cycle with an emphasis on test strategy, test execution and outcome reporting.
What you'll need to succeed
As the successful candidate, you will have demonstrated experience and ability in:
- Identifying any configuration discrepancies in the system, assessing security risks, and implementing solutions by adhering to security standards.
- Designing, installing and maintaining all server hardware and software systems.
- Identifying and analysing system performance issues.
*successful candidate will hold a current Negative Vetting 1 clearance*
