About Our Company: 

LS Precast is a locally run and owned business located on Benalla, Victoria. LS Precast specialises in producing high quality precast elements for large, high profile infrastructure projects nationwide. We are the largest precast facility in the Southern Hemisphere. 

LS Precast is owned and run by local operator, Ashley Day who also owns LS Quarry, located in Lima South. Ashley is a passionate advocate for the local community with drive to build a quality precast business in Regional Victoria.  

LS Precast uses state of the art manufacturing equipment to produce large scale precast products. The facility has the capacity to build large volume precast concrete products of the highest quality. Situated close to the Hume Freeway, LS Precast has ease of access to road freight between country and Metropolitan areas.  

Our skilled people have the expertise to build and transport precast materials from country to city for some major projects. Located in regional Victoria, LS Precast is focused on building a great community presence with support within the local community for our employees and partnered project ventures. 

PURPOSE OF ROLE 

To support financial management and record-keeping of LS Precast Services. This includes a combination of accounting, bookkeeping, cost control and financial reporting tasks. 

KEY TASKS AND ACCOUNTABILITIES 

• Ensure effective and efficient commercial practices are maintained. 
• Clearly report and communicate key commercial activities including change control, issues, and risks. 
• Maintain collaborative relationship with all key stakeholders
• Record day-to-day financial transactions and ensure accuracy in entries. 
• Maintain general ledgers and subsidiary ledgers. 
• Ensure accuracy accounts payable and receivable transactions. 
• Reconcile bank statements and other financial records regularly. 
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner. 
• Support the preparation of end of month commercial reporting 
• Contribute to continuous improvement activities to find new and better ways of operating within the department & across the business.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS 

• Preferred but not mandatory - bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field 
• Demonstrate 3 years of relevant experience 
• Understanding of relevant accounting concepts and legislation
