An exciting opportunity is now available in our high performing Commercial Litigation practice group to support one of our partners on a part-time basis in our Melbourne office. This position will be job-sharing with an experienced Legal Assistant and is a fixed-term parental leave cover for an initial 9-month period.
This role will be well suited to a well-organised administrative professional who demonstrates strong communication and teamwork skills and has previous billing experience. Experience and knowledge of litigation processes will be highly regarded.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ability to manage diary appointments and email correspondence
- Preparation of correspondence and court documents
- Compiling and processing of time sheets
- Strong understanding of billing processes
- Assisting with telephone enquiries and ability to develop relationships internally and externally
- Matter management including opening and closing files, archiving, electronic filing and physical filing.
- Experience as a Legal Assistant
- Exceptional organisational and time management skills
- Outstanding attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office (including Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
- Advanced knowledge of CMS Aderant or other finance related software
- Ability to develop and foster excellent professional relationship internally and with clients
