The Role
We are looking for an experienced Legal Assistant to join our Litigation & Dispute Resolution team on a full-time basis. This diverse and fast-paced role will support one of the firms Joint Manager Partners, as well as several other authors.
Each day will be exciting, including the following key duties:
- Secretarial support for general administrative tasks, including billing, inbox and diary management;
- Brief preparation, court document drafting, amendment and management;
- Preparing lists of documents and other quasi paralegal duties;
- Proactive diary management and meeting coordination;
- Coordination of travel arrangements;
- File opening and management;
- Meeting coordination including preparing agendas;
- Assisting the Managing Partner with team leave requests;
- Working closely with the other Legal Assistants across the team and firm.
Experience
As the successful candidate, you will be an intermediate to senior Legal Assistant with experience in litigation an absolute must. You will be a highly motivated individual, with excellent organisational skills, and a strong desire to provide exceptional support to your authors. Furthermore, you will demonstrate the following attributes:
- Ability to exercise initiative and maturity around confidential and sensitive information;
- Excellent communication skills and ability to liaise with internal and external parties;
- Ability to multi-task and manage competing deadlines;
- Excellent attention to detail;
- Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously and part of a team;
- Ability to work effectively with the other Legal Assistants in the team; and
- Excellent technical skills and understanding of software applications.
