Who we are:
A large-scale, wholly Australian-owned operator and provider of strategic investment, asset management and operational management services to Australia’s agricultural industry. Assets include cattle, sheep, farming and poultry operations and timber production facilities. This replacement position will see you work across the business in a varied and highly commercial role.
About the role:
Reporting to the General Counsel and working in a high performing team you will work across a broad range of matters with a focus on commercial contract work, including:
- commercial legal advice, negotiation and drafting of a variety of contracts and commercial agreements;
- general regulatory compliance and legal risk advice across the business;
- managing external counsel;
- managing company secretarial compliance across various Boards and Committees; and
- the provision of relevant training to the business.
Skills/Experience:
To be considered for this role you will have:
- an unrestricted practicing certificate with 4 -7 years’ post admission experience;
- legal experience across commercial contracts or corporate law;
- excellent drafting and negotiation skills;
- experience in reporting and presenting when required to a Board is preferred; and
- a pragmatic, commercial, outcome focused approach with strong people engagement skills.
