About the role
We are seeking a talented and professional Legal Secretary to join our friendly Corporate Commercial team. Working in a full-time capacity, you will provide administrative secretarial support for 1 partner and a team of high-performing lawyers in our very busy and growing Corporate practice.
There is plenty of variety in this role with the key responsibilities and duties being:
- Diary and email management
- Coordination of meetings and internal/external functions
- Opening and closing of matters including e-filing and physical archiving via Aderant Expert (billing) and iManage (document management) systems
- Timesheet entry and preparation of monthly billing, including reporting
- Creating, drafting, editing and formatting a range of documents
- Reconciling expenses for authors on a monthly basis and
- All other general ad hoc administrative duties.
About you
We are looking for a proactive and passionate team member to work closely with us, our clients, and our projects. We are looking for someone who can maintain ownership of their role in a busy environment where no two days are the same. You will need to be able to demonstrate initiative, a willingness to learn, and display confidence and enthusiasm in completing all tasks.
In addition to this, ideally you will have:
- At least 2 years’ Legal Secretarial experience
- A proactive approach and enthusiasm to work independently and as part of a team
- Competent technical ability using the Microsoft Office suite
- Knowledge of Aderant Exert for billing is advantageous
- The ability to produce accurate, high quality work within set timeframes
- A strong attention to detail.
