Katana IT is a dynamic and innovative MSP that is passionate about delivering cutting-edge solutions to our clients. We are currently seeking a talented and motivated individual to join our helpdesk team as a Level 1 IT Support Technician.
Position Overview:
As a Level 1 IT Support Technician, you will play a key role in providing technical assistance and support to our clients. You will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues, assisting with system upgrades, and ensuring the smooth operation of our IT infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
- Provide first-level technical support to end-users via phone, email, or in-person
- Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues
- Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, and peripherals
- Assist with software and system upgrades
- Collaborate with other IT team members to resolve complex issues
- Document and track support incidents in the ticketing system
- Educate end-users on IT policies and procedures
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Level 1 IT Support Technician or similar role
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows Desktop, Server and Office applications
- Knowledge of the Microsoft 365 Suite of products
- Basic understanding of networking principles
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Customer-focused with a positive attitude
- Drivers License + Reliable Transport
Education and Certifications:
- A degree or certification in a relevant IT field
- CompTIA A+, Microsoft or similar certifications are a plus
