The Directorate is the central liaison point between Treasury and the Treasurer’s Office, providing support to the Under Treasurer and playing an important role with coordinating internal and external communications and correspondence.The opportunityWe are looking for a driven and enthusiastic individual, with executive and Ministerial support experience, seeking to develop and enhance their leadership and managerial skills and take their career to the next level.As the Manager EMSU, you will provide strategic advice and direction on Ministerial and Parliamentary requests received by the Department, deliver training to departmental staff in Ministerial procedures, protocols, practices, and requirements in accordance with relevant legislation.Additionally, you will:
- lead, manage and coordinate the provision of quality, customer focused and accurate responses to Ministerial and Parliamentary requests;
- provide high level advice to senior management, and ensure compliance with communication protocols between the Department, the Treasurer and other Members of Parliament; and
- coach and mentor staff to ensure the appropriate skills and competencies are available within the team.
