About the Role
We are looking for a Marketing and event creative whiz looking to get into the NFP space! Reporting to the Marketing and Engagement Team Leader, the Marketing and Events Coordinator will be integral to the development and execution of the Marketing and engagement strategic plan for MDNSW, as well as a key support for events and volunteering across the wider team.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain social media accounts Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and more including scheduling content, copywriting, creation of assets and monitoring community engagement.
- Support the delivery of community focussed events, services, and programs through event coordination.
- Work closely with the wider team to understand volunteer requirements and support program objectives.
- Nurture and build relationships with volunteers.
- Collect and analyse data on volunteer engagement and feedback.
- Write articles, blog posts, newsletters and manage website updates.
- Support the creation and development of marketing collateral including flyers, brochures, signage and more.
- Support campaign management end-to-end including development, execution, roll out and analysis.
- Assist in marketing reporting and extracting insights from the community to inform strategic direction.
- Collaborate with internal teams on Marketing and communications support for Fundraising and Service Delivery programs including campaigns, events support, promotion, and outreach.
- Nurture relationships with key external suppliers including partnerships, sponsorships, PR and more.
- Project lead community and engagement activities and events.
- Support in general administrative tasks.
About you:
- 1-2 years of experience within Marketing and communications and have a natural creative eye for copywriting, branding, and design.
- Experience in events planning and coordination.
- You are comfortable using Canva and/ or Photoshop (desirable).
- Exceptional copywriting skills across various communications platforms.
- Flexible, open to change and always looking to trial different ways to succeed and gain results.
- Strong ability to build rapport internally and externally.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and adhere to tight deadlines.
