The College has an exciting opportunity available for a Marketing & Events Assistant to join our team. This is a permanent part time position (term time only) commencing in Term 3, working four days a week.
Suncoast Christian College is established as a ministry of Suncoast Christian Church, a member of International Network of Churches Australia. Situated on the beautiful Sunshine Coast, this well-established Pre-prep to Year 12 co-educational Christian College of over 1000 students.
Roles and responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Coordinating key College events - overseeing all aspects of event planning for key events and ensuring events are consistent with the College brand;
- Assisting with community relations;
- Social media management e.g. maintaining Facebook and other social media accounts, updating the College website etc.
- Assisting with coordinating the publication of various print and digital documents;
- Liaising with external vendors and suppliers including the College's external advertising agency;
- Preparing the College's fortnightly e-News;
- Working with various pieces of marketing software;
- Assisting the Enrolments Officer with College Tours;
- General Marketing Administration including being a back-up for Main Reception.
About you:
- Experience within a similar role is essential;
- Advanced computer literacy is required with the MS Office Suite, Social Media Platform's as well as experience with marketing / events planning software (e.g. Monday, Pixevity, Word[press, Adobe Photoshop etc);
- Strong experience in delivering events from initial briefing through to execution and evaluation is essential;
- Strong administration experience, ideally within a Marketing environment is required;
- The ability to be assertive, highly organised and manage multiple competing priorities;
- Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
