The Events Coordinator plays a pivotal role in designing, delivering, and executing marketing events, including fundraising initiatives, to bolster the strategies of Multicap and its entities. Reporting directly to the Marketing and Communications Manager and collaborating within the dynamic marketing and communications team, this versatile role encompasses comprehensive marketing and events coordination, catering to diverse stakeholder groups across both internal and external audiences. Some things you may be doing:
- Design, plan, develop and implement innovative event strategies for external and internal audiences to support Vertaview Group and entity events and functions.
- Promote events to maximise attendance and brand awareness by developing engaging and relevant content that drives value for the brands across multiple channels including video, social media, email, podcasts, print and electronic newsletters, direct-mail, letters, collateral and any additional appropriate channels.
- Work on an events portfolio to deliver a calendar of events across the year to service various areas of the entities. This includes, but is not limited to special events, marketing and fundraising.
- Plan and lead event day operations, working with venue management to ensure all contractual expectations are met.
- Negotiate quotes and organise booking suppliers, working within budget guidelines.
- Develop and manage sponsorship opportunities and relationships for various events. Create various levels of sponsorship proposals to attract and retain sponsors across the portfolio of events and partnerships.
- Keep abreast with developments in the disability and mental health sectors to identify industry trends and competitive insights.

To be successful:
- Experience in developing and implementing events functional duties.
- Experience in coordinating and managing events from conception through to post-event review for both small and large events.
- Experienced in a range of content development programs including Canva, Microsoft Office, Vision 6, Survey Monkey, SharePoint and website Content Management Systems.
- Highly developed written, presentation and verbal communication skills, including researching, writing, editing, proofreading and presentation skills, for a range of audiences.
- Ability to work some weekend days and evenings during the week as needed for events and expos.
What you need to have or be willing to obtain:
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Business, Marketing, or Events (preferred) or relevant experience in a similar role.
- A current QLD Driver’s License
- NDIS Workers Screening Clearance (or be willing to obtain)
- A QLD Working with Children Check (or be willing to obtain)
