We are currently recruiting for a Marketing Manager to manage the development of effective marketing strategies associated with the NRL’s consumer products, major events and community initiatives along with activities that drive growth for the business. This role will partner with the Senior Marketing and Operations Manager to ensure the efficient implementation of marketing operations, partnerships, and channel management. In addition, they will lead the development and implementation of key marketing campaigns.
As part of the Fan Experience team, success in this role will see you deliver effective sales and marketing strategies across all consumer products to major events and deliver impactful marketing campaigns to drive commercial sales, brand health, and audience growth.
This position is suited to an accomplished marketing professional with an understanding of Rugby League, events, ticketing and impact of revenue on margin growth.
Key responsibilities.
- Develop, manage, and oversee a range of marketing strategies that drive attendance, yield, audience growth and brand positioning for the NRL e.g. Women’s State of Origin, Finals Series, NRLW, etc.
- Manage and lead the marketing of Rugby League Participation and grass roots campaign.
- Management of Community Marketing activities and social responsibility campaigns.
- Implement event and tactical marketing activations including campaign launches.
- End-to-end Marketing development across the products includes strategy, creative concepting, production, channel planning, launch and optimisation.
- Actively contribute to the NRL’s audience growth through key demographics such as female and youth.
- Manage agency, media partners and stakeholders
- Budget management
- Tertiary qualifications in Marketing and relevant industry experience, preferably in sport
- Proven success in developing integrated marketing plans.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with high attention to detail.
- Strong project management and decision-making skills.
- Metrics-driven marketing mind with eye for creativity.
- Experience with marketing automation and CRM tools.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and executing marketing strategies that drive both revenue and brand.
- Demonstrated experience across several marketing channels both ATL and BTL
- Proven ability to lead and manage multi-phase campaigns
- Proven ability to manage large budgets and complex stakeholder relations
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to comfortably liaise with all levels of the business as well as external clients
