General Practice Medical Receptionist... rare opportunity to join a great team.

We are looking for a casual Medical Receptionist to work on MONDAY, TUESDAY and THURSDAY from 4:30pm to 9:30pm for our GP owned and operated modern Medical Centre.

The position starts with 3 days a week with the potential to increase hours and weekend shifts if the candidate performs well in their role.

Deer Park Medical Centre has been looking after the community for 42 years. Our dedicated team strive to provide the best health care possible, while making sure our staff are happy with their work-life balance. The centre is located in a busy shopping centre, next to a pharmacy, with onsite parking.

Applicants should be hard working, conscientious, reliable, easy going and presentable. Immunisation endorsed is desirable. Able to perform general practice medical reception duties including :

• Answering phones and forwarding calls to the appropriate party, or taking down messages for forwarding later
• Collecting patient information and providing it to relevant medical leads
• Tracking availability and preparing patients before their appointments
• Informing medical staff when a patient has arrived or is waiting
• Ensuring that each patient has the proper documentation and sign-in sheets
• Handling correspondence and file transfers
• Checking on medical staff throughout the day

Must be able to work well in a team and have strong verbal and written communication skills . Experience with Best Practice is also an advantage.
