Queensland Respiratory Services offer a full range of lung function and allergy testing, at 15 locations across Queensland, backed by the largest private respiratory physician group in the state.
This full-time receptionist position with QRS involves working at our Ipswich Branch in a private medical suite, Monday to Friday during business hours.
You will be required to perform administration duties on site as well as assist all branches in a range of reception duties in conjunction with our other administrative staff.
Role Responsibilities:
- Answer, screen and forward phone calls. Check phone messages and respond with priority.
- Excellent time management and prioritisation skills
- Liase with other reception staff, Doctors, Nurse coordinators to coordinate appointments as required
- Ability to learn basic medical terminology, particularly pertaining to respiratory conditions
- Process referrals received and book appointments using Health Track software.
- Greet patients (on clinic days) and ensure required paperwork is filled out prior to seeing the scientist.
- Perform patient billing and Medicare rebates via EFTPOS and through Health Track medical software.
- Filing of reports and associated paperwork.
- Assist scientist with stock and consumable levels in the laboratory.
- Follow general laboratory procedures regarding professional conduct, dress code, punctuality and documentation.
- Attend relevant meetings (in person and via Zoom)
- Participate in the establishment of quality assurance programs to ensure quality of patient care.
- Work with other staff members to promote respect and a positive workplace.
- Comply with human resource management policies including workplace health and safety and anti-discrimination as applied in the workplace.
Role Requirements:
- Experience in office/administration work is highly desirable
- Able to work during business hours - 5 days/week
- Excellent customer service skills, particularly via Phone & Email
- Attend training days in our main office in Brisbane
