North Coast Medical Centre is looking for a solid well-rounded person to run the front office of a busy Medical Centre based in Byron Bay. This permanent part time position (3 days) requires a switched-on multi-tasker, friendly, fun and adaptable. You’ll be working with a cohort of vibrant doctors and allied health professionals.
Qualifications & experience
Demonstrated recent administration experience with knowledge of procedures relating to telephone, reception, and customer service in a fast pace medical environment.
Demonstrated competence in the use of computer software packages including Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) with a willingness to acquire new skills as required.
Demonstrated commitment and understanding of confidentiality
Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as a multidisciplinary team member.
Demonstrated effective communication skills both oral and written, including the ability to relate maturely and professionally within a busy environment to patients and health care providers.
Have a proven ability to problem solve, be flexible in your approach and use your initiative.
Demonstrate a can-do attitude, be enthusiastic and genuinely have something positive to contribute to the team culture
Ability to multitask – prioritising patient care
Best Practice Software experience an advantage
Tasks & responsibilities
Answering phones and responding to patient enquiries
Appointment book management
Scanning of patient information
Processing health funds and Medicare
Patient billing including Medicare & DVA processing
Reconciliation of daily takings
Opening and closing of the Practice
The position is permanent part time, 3 days a week (Mon-Wed) 8:00am-6:00pm.
